Goulburn Murray Water tasked Super City with drilling an intersect access hole with an existing drain line inside weir wall at Torrumbarry Weir on the Murray River.

With a depth of 3.6m and a diameter of 102mm they needed powerful and strong equipment. Using the ADS4 power pack and BC-2 Drill Motor they were able to use a range of core bits to achieve their mission; these included a starter bit to ensure accuracy at the start of drilling followed by 1m bit, 2m bit, 2 x 1.2m extension bar. The task was drilled in an hour, however due to the aggregate size the extraction time was
considerablely longer at 2 hours.
